This tour allows you, in both summer and winter to discover Baikal Lake, the city of Irkutsk and the Buriat village Oust Orda.
You will then visit the authentic Siberia, unknown by tourists and discover for example the lives of inhabitants of a Buriat village or the city of Lisvianka, renowned for its original architecture.
During the Oust Orda – Lisvianka route, you can visit the Museum of the traditional Russian architecture and, highlight of your stay you can spend a night by the lake Baikal.
Irkutsk – Oust Orda
Arrival in Irkutsk where you will be welcomed by a French-speaking guide. Visit of the city then departure for the Buriat village Oust Orda where you will discover the Regional Museum of History, the museum dedicated to the Buriat culture. You will also have the opportunity to meet a shaman and to participate to shamanic rites. Free time for lunch. Continuation of the journey towards Baikal Lake to the place where the Angara River finds its source. This river is the only one to arise from Baikal Lake. Free time. Check-in at the hotel in Oust Orda. Dinner at the hotel.
Oust Orda – Listvianka
Breakfast at the hotel then you meet your guide for a walk in the village and a visit of Svyato Nikolskaya Church and the Museum of the Baikal Lake dedicated to its fauna and flora; and finally, the central square of the village.
Various options are then offered to you:
- Picnic by the lake accompanied with smoked fish and potatoes;
- Vodka from Baikal Lake and tea made with the Russian samovar;
- Excursions on Tcherski hill;
- Ride with the funicular;
- Panoramic view on Baikal Lake;
- The maritime passes and Kamar-Daban;
- The railroad around Baikal Lake;
- And the source of Angara River;
- Arrival in Listvianka;
- Dinner at the hotel.
Listvianka
Listvianka – Irkutsk
Breakfast at the hotel where you will find your guide. Route towards Irkutsk. Visit of the Museum of the outdoor Wooden Architecture of Talsty, unique collection of monuments of the history and the architecture of the peoples of the Eastern Siberia (XVII-XX th centuries). Back to Irkutsk. Free time for lunch. Visit of Irkutsk and the Museum of the Decembrists. Dinner at the hotel.
Option:
- Gala dinner at the restaurant with folk orchestra or Russian romances concert.
Irkutsk – Moscow
- Breakfast at the hotel;
- Check-out;
- Transfer towards the railway station or the airport of Irkutsk.
